Saw this place advertised on our local village facebook page and decided to visit. We found the volunteers to be very friendly and welcoming and gave us some local history about the site. Although the museum is quite small it is full of information about the site spanning both world wars and how it was used postwar. Some of the volunteers had served at the site during its time as an operational RAF base and gave us an insight to their time there. Well worth a visit and you could easily send a couple of hours there. No entry fee but they would like visitors to make a voluntary donation on exit.

What a true gem this little museum really is! Due to our RAF connections with the aerodrome, my partner and I were granted ad hoc access during our Norfolk holiday in August 2022. Our host couldn't have been more helpful and we were both amazed at the tardis-like scale of the museum, with so many exhibits to study!

A fascinating place with very knowledgeable guides. Came away knowing so much about the role of the base in both WW1 and 2. Poignant visit afterwards to St Mary in Great Bircham. The war cemetary at the rear of the Churchyard has both English , Canadian , New Zealand and 11 German aircrew. A beautifully tended and quiet place . They were so young

A great place to visit, check when it's open, knowledgeable volunteers and a raft of information on display about the base, and it's satellite airfields.

Small in size, but holds a lot of interesting things to do with the RAF, even made us a hot drink for free. Free parking, toilets onsite
